January 2017 Sign-up

Hello.  Welcome.  This is the sign up post for the January Card Chain Challenge.  This is the first sign up of the year and the very first sign up on this blog dedicated to the fabulous card chain challenge.  Please read the welcome post if you haven't already.  If it is your first time here check out the FAQ's tab for details.

We are a little late getting everything running this month so the linky will close sometime 10th January GMT.  This means you only have a few days to sign up so that there is a reasonable chance that cards will reach their destinations by the 31st of January.  The February sign up will start 11th January and run til 6th February.  The reveal for January will be here on the 2nd February and by then it will all be running like clockwork.  LOL

If this is your first time here I hope you will sign up and join the fun!
We've now exchanged over 2,100 cards by participants from 37 of the 50 United States and 30 countries.

This is an international card exchange.  Please do not sign up unless you are willing to actually make and send a card. 

Challenge Directions
Make a card using at least one of the following four options. (You can actually use two, three, or all four options, but you are only required to use one of them.)

Colour Palette:

Exact colour matching is not necessary. 

Sketch:

You can orientate the sketch in any direction and/or flip it. 

Themes:  Birds, Snowflakes, Friendship
You can choose one or a combination of these.

Products:  Buttons / Twine 
You can use one or both

All of the cards with links to their creators' blogs or online photo galleries will be revealed here on February 2nd, 2017.

Hello and welcome to the Card Chain Challenge.  This is the brainchild of Deborah Nolan and she has run this card exchange very successfully for many years from her blog, Society of Stampaholics.  Deborah been dealing with some health issues over the last few months that have prevented her from doing much here in blogland.  CCC was temporarily hosted by Gail on her blog Crafty Nomad for a couple of months at the end of 2016.  But this wonderful idea deserves it's own corner of blogland so here it is, at least for the time being.  Who knows what the future may hold......

We would like to welcome old friends and new and hope that we can continue to spread love around the globe, one handmade card at a time.   We also wish Deborah a speedy recovery and we look forward to you taking up the reins again soon.
