Photo Editing - Quick Update

Hello CCC friends.  It seems that PicMonkey wants money for you to use their site.  Sad, but it's their site so they can do what they will.  A friend of mine has suggested BeFunky.   Please do leave some feedback about how you like this site if you try it, or if you have another option you like then please let us know.

i was going to ask you about this - i thought it was just my computer. since i'm a mac user, i've figured out how to put my watermark on my photo and do everything i did before in Picmonkey by just using iPhoto. when i send the photo for CCC i'll have to figure out how to get it to the size you need. but am leaving that for another day right now.

i just figured out how to get my photo to 100-200KB - very simple - did it in the "tools" part of "preview" while i had the photo on my desktop.

Wow, well done Betty. I admit, I'm not sure what you are using but if it works that's fab. I am technologically challenged ROFL. I use photoshop elements in a very simple fashion to muck about with my photo's. Hugz

So disappointing that PicMonkey is no longer free. I've been using BeFunky & it's OK except there's no auto exposure fix which I really miss & no way to do a watermark or I couldn't figure it out. It does let you change the size AFTER you push save, I finally discovered. I can do a watermark with 2 lines on zipic.com, but don't like the editing, so for now I'm using BeFunky & Zipic.

Hi Greta, you can do watermarks on BeFunky. You need to look in the left-hand drop down under 'Layer Manager' and follow the instructions. I agree that the lack of auto-exposure is disappointing, Jo x

Hi. Yesterday I found out that about Picmonkey, so I searched for a new editor, and I found fotor.com. I used it to resize my picture, and it worked well, but I don´t know anything else about it.

I just tried the Be Funky, and had good luck! Worked like a charm - I just had to insert a watermark though...nothing too tricky. Thanks for the heads up about Picassa!
