Let's Play - Game 5

Hello Card Chain Challenge friends.
The games continue for our 3000 celebration!

Yes, an amazing 3000 cards, winging their way around the planet,
spreading love and friendship, one card at a time.

Don't forget to Hop the hop for your chance to win one of the amazing prizes
from one of our awesome sponsors.

Are you ready for another game???
So here we go.... Game 5 - Your Choice

Every year Jo and Gail have to think up eleven sets of sketches,
colours, themes, products and techniques.

Gail loves combining wacky colours for your entertainment.
Jo has a secret stash of sketches
One option is always friendship
But is there a theme, product or technique you would like to see?

Add your list in the comments below.  As many as you want.
Sometimes we need a little help too!!!

Follow along so you don't miss the fun!  We have a followers button and the email dingsen is working sporadically.....  After many months of nothing it dumped the whole blog in my email the other day!!!!  Just like buses!  All or nothing.......

You can join in with any of the games or leave blog hop comments until end of play 28th June.  Please remember that we are an international card exchange so Australia and New Zealand will close for business long before the Pacific Northwest.  I am so not working out all the time differences!!!!  I will include all comments that are time stamped 28th June on the chosen blogs.  Congfudsed?  Me too!!!  Hop now........
(I think that typo is going to be in the dictionary next year)

Jo and Gail have a few goodies to randomly give away to people who join the fun and a few of the games have real and fabulous sponsors.

Tina sent us a comment saying she thought we should reveal all the cards on the 2nd, whether they had arrived or not, and we agree. So we will post the whole reveal on the 2nd of the month at 12.00 Central European Time from now on. Our posts will all go out at 12.00 CET. Just incase anyone want to co-ordinate with us LOL. Hugz

Oh, thank you, I am so happy about this. I love to see our completed chain, it makes me so happy. Crafty hugs xx

I love your approach, especially that there is always friendship theme, I think it says a lot about our card chain.
I would love to see some "new to me" technique options or more specific techniques, like I have just learned about herringbone pattern... Or different techniques with vellum...
But I love our variety of choices, thank you so much!
Crafty hugs to all xx

Thanks, Tina, we try to keep things as fresh and new as we possibly can and appreciate your comments, Jo x

I love this idea too! I would think it will simplify things so much! I always tried to backtrack and see any cards that were added later to the reveal posts, but this is easier all the way around! :)

Good ideas so far. I would like to have theme of guy cards. So hard for me; then I can be forced to do one and see other people's work. For technique how about watercolor.

I would love to see a "Hello" theme. And a watercolor technique. Kisses!

Thanks Gail & Jo - I've requested a card be published even though I hadn't recd it. It makes for a nice clean reveal and all the sweeter when we get the actual card if it's delayed....

There's so many options - good of you to think of so many! Have you done a tic-tac-toe lately? Those are fun. Or mixed media - I don't do a lot of that so it might be a fun challenge.

Love all the suggestions above... You girls rock with the themes every month - I usually go with the colours and sketch and basic friends... so I should try more techniques and products... I'm suggesting we use some of those papers/DPs that we've had in our stash for years and hardly ever see the light of day now - I have pads and pads of them - how about everyone else?? Thanks Gail and Jo for a fab month and great to see so many joining in... GO!!!! CCC

I think this is a wonderful idea - particularly in the current climate. I received the card from my May sender on 17th June and my card to my April recipient still hasn't arrived at it's destination.

This is a good idea and then we can have a full chain, especially how long it can take for some cards to arrive.

I think you give a great selection of themes, so it's been hard to think of anything new! As Robyn said, maybe DPs would be a good theme as we all seem to have a lot of papers! Or a way of using the papers like iris folding/teabag folding.

I always appreciated that there was a 'friendship' theme to choose in case the other choices didn't spark an idea! I like the idea of a technique suggestion. Maybe to try a technique you have never tried before with a note in with the card explaining how the card was made. Or maybe a 'free-for-all' where no sketch or color combo is suggested, anything goes. I would also love a challenge to come up with a card that has a different fold, something other than the standard side or top folding card.

I am pleased to see that the reveal will now include all cards regardless of whether the recipient has received it or not, and thank you too for the publication time. I will try and follow that when I do my post. Even though you give us loads of options, some months I still struggle to find inspiration1 Funny that, I wish I knew the answer to it, but I suspect that there isn't one, it is just me xx

I totally agree that you can publish all the cards at once. I love that friendship is always an option. I make more friendship cards than anything else & know that I can use one for the CCC. Often I've already entered it in a challenge, but for me a card in the mail is always a treat even if I've seen it on-line. One of my favorite color challenges is always black & white with a touch of another specified color. Thank you both for all the work involved to keep this wonderful card chain going! Hugs, Greta

So many good ideas in all the comments above. I like the idea of a fold or shape added in. Sometimes that's a spark of inspiration. Thanks so much all of you! I feel connected in this time of isolation. Hugs!

Thinking of all those papers, maybe a paper-piecing theme would be fun?! I love doing that...

Birds or butterflies... always fun. I like to try and challenge myself

Love the idea of having all the cards in the reveal in one go! Thanks for all the time and effort you spend on this each month. Theme ideas - how about wildlife, monoprinting (lots of ways to do it for anyone without a Gelli or Gel Press plate), something glittery or pearlescent, a hand drawn or hand lettered element, use a border stamp or die.

I love the idea that we will now see the reveal all at one time. As of June 23rd from US Postal Service at https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm, Kenya is still on the list of unavailable transport, so I still cannot mail my card to my friend in Kenya. I love everyone's ideas and always like having "Friendship" as an option in case I have no inspiration or supplies to cover some of the other choices.

wow, I love the idea of a fold or shaped cards, I love making these kind of cards!!

Agree! I have fun making shaped cards, too :)
